Principal's message

Dear Students, Families and Friends,

On behalf of the entire Menai Public School community, I want to welcome you all to another busy and exciting school year! I would like to offer a particularly warm welcome to our new Kindergarten students and their families – many of whom are joining us for the very first time. Additionally, I want to acknowledge the students and families of our Year 6 students now in their final year with us but with so many wonderful experiences ahead of them as they prepare for their transition to high school.
Our teachers and support staff - TeamMPS - have all been working very hard to prepare our beautiful school for the excitement of another year of learning.

At Menai Public School, we already have so much of what we need:

  • A team of dedicated professionals who work tirelessly to ensure our school is able to operate smoothly in order to meet the needs of our students
  • Students who bounce through our school gates each and every day, deserving of an education that is second to none
  • Resources to support dynamic learning experiences in every Key Learning Area
  • Technology provisions which ensure our students are well-equipped to experience 21st century learning opportunities
  • Beautiful, leafy grounds in which to work and play
  • A supportive parent community who value strong connections between home and school
  • Pride in our reputation as a small school with a big heart
  • And last, but not least, a committed, enthusiastic principal who is relishing the opportunity to continue to lead, learn and grow with this amazing Menai community for a fourth year!

Our goal here at Menai Public School is to build a collaborative school culture focused on learning, the creation of educational aspiration and ongoing performance improvement. We have a strategic and planned approach to whole school wellbeing processes that support the wellbeing of all students so they can connect, succeed, thrive and learn. Our effective partnerships in learning with parents, carers and students ensures students are motivated to deliver their best and continually improve.

By asking questions, listening intently to the responses and observing our wonderful community in action I am confident that we will continue to build on the existing solid foundations in 2020 at Menai Public School where together we learn and grow.

Kind regards,

Kate Drury
